The event featured a Cyborg theme and, in addition to the severed heads, designer Alessandro Michele also accessorized models with “dragon’s puppies” and faun horns, and the stage with an operating tables.
The props, according to the notes provided the show’s attendees, were meant to represent “a figure that can overcome the dualism and dichotomy of identity.” The notes also quoted Donna Haraway’s 1984 essay “A Cyborg Manifesto,” according to GQ.
